Westerkerk Church

Capital symbol.
Opened in 1631 for Pentecost in 1631, the Westerkerk Church in Amsterdam is the largest Protestant monument in the country.
The steeple is one of the town's symbols, both for expats and locals alike, shown by the many cultural references to it. Built by Hendrick de Keyser, the building was the setting for the wedding of Queen Beatrix to Prince Claus in 1966.
